Arsenal sign Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge

Arsenal have signed Greece winger Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge. The twenty-four-year-old has agreed a five-year contract with the Premier League champions.

The reported fee is £34 million, equal to Club Brugge’s €40 million asking price. Tzolis returns to England after a prolific season in Belgium.

A five-year agreement completes the transfer

Arsenal confirmed the signing on July 23 after Tzolis completed his medical. The contract runs through the summer of 2031.

The winger receives Arsenal’s number seventeen shirt. The club presented him after completing all transfer and registration documents.

Tzolis becomes Arsenal’s third permanent addition of the summer window. His arrival follows the departure of Leandro Trossard to Besiktas.

The transfer fee was reported at £34 million. That figure equals about €40 million and represents a Belgian Pro League record sale.

Club Brugge had Tzolis under contract until 2029. The new agreement therefore required a permanent fee rather than a free transfer.

He spent two seasons with Club Brugge and played more than one hundred matches. The club used him mainly from the left side.

His 2024/25 campaign contained sixteen league goals. The following season added seventeen goals and the competition’s highest assist total.

Club Brugge renewed his contract through 2029 during the first season. Arsenal later met the price required for a permanent move.

The left winger has played in England before

Norwich City signed Tzolis from PAOK in August 2021. He made his Premier League debut against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
